About Aisha
I trained as an architect at the University of Cincinnati and spent five years designing medical office buildings. It was good work, but I wanted to design for the people who would actually live in the space.
Most of my clients are building a new home and have a selections appointment coming up with their builder. That's where people get overwhelmed and pick 40 finishes in one afternoon. I go with them, or better, before them, and make sure the flooring, cabinets, lighting and tile work together and fit the budget. I also design small commercial spaces: salons, dental offices, and one very fun coffee shop in Plain City.
I live in Jerome Township with my husband, our two girls, and a dining table I have rearranged far too many times.

Nathan Beiler Beiler Craftsman Homes Designers usually hand me a lighting plan with half the switches missing. Aisha's come with fixture specs, switch locations and a note about where the client actually sits to read, and on a Jerome Township new build nobody asked to move a single can light.
Sam Kessler Kessler Electric My studio is 1,400 square feet with a low ceiling and a rubber floor, and Aisha still made it somewhere a 70-year-old wants to walk into. She kept the refresh under $9,000 and had it done over one long weekend.

The new builds in Jerome Township all come with the same backyard: a 10-by-10 slab and mud. Tyler sketched a paver patio and seat wall for one of my clients by hand, and the…
