About Nathan

I grew up in a Mennonite family outside Plain City and started on a framing crew at 16. By 25 I was running the crew, and in 2014 I built my first house under my own name.

We build eight to ten custom homes a year, both traditional stick-built and post-frame, mostly on rural lots in Madison, Union and western Franklin counties. I cap the number of projects so I can be on every site every day. Clients get a fixed-price contract, a shared schedule they can check anytime, and my cell number.

My favorite part of the job is the first meeting on an empty piece of land, when we work out where the sun comes up and which way the kitchen window should face.

Married to Rachel, three kids, one very muddy truck.

We've dug foundations and septic systems on six of Nathan's lots. He's on site every morning, so when we hit clay at four feet, the decision takes ten minutes instead of two days.

Roy Castañeda Castañeda Excavating

I've handled construction draws on four of Nathan's homes, and my draw inspector says his are the only requests that match what's actually on site. When a client asks me who to build with, that's the answer I give.

Shannon Kerr Big Darby Mortgage

Before a young couple closed on ten acres I'd listed north of Plain City, Nathan met them on the empty ground to work out which way the kitchen window should face. They broke ground in June on a fixed-price contract, and every milestone on his shared schedule has landed in the week it was listed.

Luke Brandt Brandt Land & Home

My brother's post-frame house sits on the back 20 acres of our family farm, and Nathan really was on site every day he built it. The window over the sink looks straight at the barn, which was my brother's only request.
