About Shannon

Shannon got into lending in 2006, which she calls "a very educational time to start." She has originated loans through a crash, a boom and a pandemic, and the lesson each time was the same: know the file better than the underwriter does.

Her niche is the loans that don't fit a standard box: construction-to-permanent financing, USDA rural loans with no money down, land and lot loans, and post-frame homes and barndominiums, which many lenders still won't touch. She works closely with builders and knows how a draw schedule should run.

Shannon lives outside Plain City on six acres with her husband, two horses, and a goat named Escrow. She is a founding member of Surge Plain City.

3 testimonials

I don't do construction-to-perm loans, so when a client wanted to build a barndominium on family land near Plain City, I sent him to Shannon. She closed it in five weeks and already knew which post-frame builders the Madison County appraisers trust.

Anil Venkataraman Northstar Home Lending

USDA buyers are the hardest people to get to a closing table on a rural house, and Shannon gets them there. She closed a zero-down loan on two acres outside West Jefferson for a buyer three other lenders had turned away.

Luke Brandt Brandt Land & Home

Some builders I've worked with understand a draw schedule less well than Shannon does. When a client's appraisal came in $30k light in May, she restructured the loan within a week and we didn't lose a day of framing.
