About Mariana
I was a veterinary technician for ten years, and I lost count of how many boarded dogs came back to us stressed, dehydrated or just sad. In 2021 my husband and I bought six acres outside Plain City and built the place I wanted for my own dogs.
Darby Dog Lodge does boarding, daycare and full-service grooming. Dogs spend their days in small play groups sorted by size and energy, with fenced yards, a splash pad, and indoor suites for the ones who would rather nap. Owners can check the webcams anytime, and plenty of them do it from the beach.
I still handle the medical intake myself. Diabetic dogs, seniors and anxious rescues are welcome here, and we're good with them.

3 testimonialsHalf my clients' first question about a two-week cruise is what to do with the dog. I send them to Mariana now, and one couple watched their 90-pound Lab on the webcam every morning from a ship in the Caribbean.
Renee Holloway Holloway Journeys I shoot content at Darby Dog Lodge twice a month, so I've watched the play groups up close. Mariana sorts dogs by energy, not only size, and the anxious rescues get a quiet yard of their own until they're ready for the group.
Maya Robinson Fieldnote Social Our 11-year-old beagle is diabetic and needs insulin twice a day. Mariana did her intake herself and gave every shot on schedule for five days while we were at a wedding in Houston, and our dog came home calmer than she left.
