About Sunita
Sunita arrived in Columbus in 2010 after almost twenty years in a refugee camp in eastern Nepal. Her first job here was cleaning offices overnight while she took classes at Columbus State during the day.
She started Brightline in 2015 with her husband and one borrowed vacuum. Today the company has 22 employees and cleans medical offices, dental practices and office buildings along the Polaris Parkway corridor. Every building gets a consistent crew, every crew is background-checked, and a supervisor walks each site weekly with a checklist. Clients who have been through three cleaning companies in two years tend to stay.
Sunita hires heavily from Columbus's Bhutanese-Nepali community and pays above market. She believes that is why her turnover is a fraction of the industry's.
