About Ryan

Ryan's grandfather started Hartsock Plumbing in 1971 with a truck and a toolbox that now hangs on the shop wall. Ryan got his master plumber's license at 26 and took over from his dad in 2022.

A lot of homes around Marysville are on well water, and the work reflects it: well pumps, pressure tanks, water softeners, iron filters, and the sulfur smell nobody wants to talk about. The company also does water heaters, repiping, sewer camera inspections and new construction rough-ins. A plumber is on call every night, and the person who answers the phone works for the company.

Ryan will happily explain why you should never pour bacon grease down the drain. He has pulled enough of it out of main lines to earn the lecture.

Our water heater split on a Sunday night in January and put an inch of water across the basement. Ryan's on-call plumber answered in two rings and had a new tank in by 10 the next morning, and the invoice matched the quote to the dollar.

The well on my parents' farm, where I grow all my flowers, had so much iron that it stained every bucket orange. Ryan put in an iron filter and a new softener in one afternoon, and the buckets come out white now.

I find a lot of sulfur smells and failing pressure tanks in well-water houses. Ryan's crew usually gets out within 48 hours of my report and gives the buyers a written quote they can take to the seller before the inspection deadline.
