About Gene
I started selling insurance in 1990 out of my father-in-law's front room, and I have been insuring farms around Plain City ever since. I have walked a lot of fields after storms.
My agency writes farm policies, crop-hail coverage, equipment and outbuildings, and the home and auto policies that go with them. The problem I see most is a hobby farm or small operation that has grown past a homeowners policy without anyone noticing. The barn, the skid steer and the horse trailer turn out not to be covered, and the owner finds out at the worst possible time.
I still drive to every claim myself. My granddaughter is studying agribusiness at Ohio State and keeps threatening to modernize the place. I'm letting her.

2 testimonialsMy old agent told me the service truck and the tools on it were covered under my personal auto. They weren't. Gene found that out before I did, which is the right order, and wrote a policy that actually covers them.
Travis Neff Neff Ag & Diesel None of my carriers write farms, and a client of mine had a horse barn, a skid steer and a trailer all sitting on her homeowners policy. Gene drove out the next morning, walked every building, and had a real farm policy in place within a week.
