About Greg

Greg framed houses as a union carpenter for 22 years before he and his wife, Amy, started Hollister Remodeling in 2009. He runs the crews. Amy runs design and selections, and she is the reason clients don't end up with six kinds of white tile.

They remodel kitchens and bathrooms, mostly in the 1950s and '60s ranches and split-levels of Worthington, Clintonville and Northland. Every job is a fixed-price contract with a written schedule. Greg explains cabinet lead times before demolition starts, not three weeks into living without a sink.

They take on about 18 projects a year and turn down more than that. Greg is a founding member of Surge Polaris. He speaks rarely at meetings, and when he does, he is usually right.

3 testimonials

I sold a 1961 Worthington ranch to a family who knew the kitchen had to go the day they moved in. Greg and Amy gave them a fixed price of $78,400 and a written schedule, and the job finished two days early.

Keisha Monroe Monroe Home Group

The fixed-price contract for our Powell bathroom said $41,200, and so did the final invoice. I priced risk for a living for twelve years. I noticed.

Marcus Oyelaran Oyelaran Wealth Partners

Demo on our Worthington kitchen didn't start until the cabinets had shipped, because Greg won't do it any other way. That meant eleven weeks of waiting and only four without a sink. Amy also talked us out of the white tile we'd picked off Pinterest.

Greg Hollister wrote a testimonial for Luis Ortega

Most of our kitchens this year had Luis on the ductwork. He shows up when the schedule says he will and hasn't once asked us to move a cabinet.

Kate's drone photos of a 1962 Worthington ranch showed flashing that had been leaking into the exact wall we were about to open. Her crew fixed it the week before demo. Saved us…
