About Jess
I designed newspaper pages for eleven years, until the paper I worked for cut its print days to two and then to zero. Laying out a front page and laying out a homepage use the same muscles: decide what matters most and make sure people see it first.
Now I build websites for contractors, clinics and professional service firms. I also manage their Google Business Profiles, which usually bring in more calls than the website does. Every site I launch has to load in under two seconds on a phone and show up when someone searches for the service and the town.
My pronouns are they/them. I live in Clintonville with my partner, a very old cat, and more houseplants than is strictly reasonable.
What members say about Jess
3 testimonialsA lot of my clients end up with Jess too: I shoot, they build. On a dental practice site this spring they had my photos compressed, labeled and loading in under two seconds before I'd sent my invoice.
DeShawn Carter Carter Frame Co. Our website was built by my cousin in 2017 and took about nine seconds to load on a phone. Jess rebuilt it and cleaned up our Google Business Profile, and we booked 31 roof inspections from search in May, up from maybe six the May before.
Kate Brennan Brennan Roofing & Exteriors I run social for a farm store in Plain City whose website still listed its 2019 hours. Jess rebuilt it in five weeks, and the store now comes up first when you search farm store plus Plain City, so my posts finally have somewhere to send people.
